Family Skill Share | Family Workshop

  • The Guelph Outdoor School 733 Stone Road East Guelph, ON, N1E 3J3 Canada (map)

Registration for this workshop is open.

Leaves are turning, apples are ripe, and autumn is in the air. Our first ever Family Skill Share is chance for families to connect with nature in a laid-back, choose-your-own-adventure-style setting. It's a long-anticipated answer to a question Guelph Outdoor School parents keep asking: "Can we come too??" Yes, you can!

Bring the whole family, and join GOS instructors in the cedar forest for an afternoon of outdoor fun with some of our favourite nature connection skills. You can choose to learn some carving tips and tricks, twist plants into homemade string and rope, hone your fire starting skills, roast apples over a roaring fire, or try a little bit of everything. The format of this event is open and drop-in style, so families can hunker down at one station, or explore whatever catches their interest.

Session price: $15 per family member. If cost is a barrier, please see our Economics for a Changing World page for sliding-scale options and select a coupon code that meets your financial needs.

Kids aged 0-4 come for free, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Note that carving is offered for ages 7 and up, and caregivers must supervise children while carving.

See you out there!
