GOS in a nutshell

Our weekly nature immersion and mentorship programs for kids and youth are designed and delivered as an effective, fun, and non-clinical approach to overall health & well-being, on all the metrics: social / emotional, cognitive academic, physical / developmental.

Started in 2012, the Guelph Outdoor School evolved into a non-profit organization in 2016,

GOS is a learning and development option which serves as an alternative and complement to the classroom, and increasingly recognized as a supportive way to support kids in adapting to a changing world.

A preventative, effective, fun, and non-clinical avenue to overall health and well-being

on all the metrics: social / emotional, cognitive & academic, physical & developmental.

GOS is engaging the ongoing work of making programs like ours more accessible and welcoming. This can mean adapting how and where we promote our programs as well as identifying and working to dissolve the barriers to accessing our programs.
