Young people work in teams, or even on their own, to create a shelter equal to the task of spending a night outdoors: wind proof, water tight, ventilated, small but luxurious! Kids are coached on judicious and creative use of forest material: sticks, and stones, and leaves. GOS instructors work to inspire through games and story, teach by demonstration, and support young people in striking the balance of fun and functionality. Kids go home with a picture of themselves and their team kneeling by their abode, plus a steady stream of stories - hilarious fails and wonderful triumphs Truly a day that echoes the motto of our friends at the PINE project: Be more, need less. Looking forward to meet our crew of human burrowers. See you there!
